GoFundMe College Fund Set Up For Daughter of Milford Councilman

GoFundMe College Fund Set Up For Daughter of Milford Councilman Elizabeth Perez

The community of Milford suffered a tragic loss on February 8th when Russell D. Heller was gunned down by a former co-worker in the parking lot of the PSE&G in Franklin, NJ. Heller was a PSE&G supervisor for the past 11 years and was also a Milford Borough councilman.

A GoFundMe has been created by Heller's sister, Patty (Heller) Palazzo, to raise money for his daughter Kayla Heller's college expenses. As of Monday, February 20th, the GoFundMe page has raised $31,283 of the $50,000 goal.

Palazzo posted the following:

Hi, my name is Patty (Heller) Palazzo and I am raising funds for my beautiful niece, Kayla Heller's college expenses. Kayla, and the entire Heller family, have suffered the unimaginable loss of her father, Russell D. Heller. My brother Russ loved and cherished his precious daughter, Kayla beyond anything else. He lost his life in a senseless act involving gun violence. Russ had made plans for his daughter to attend his beloved DeSales University in Center Valley, PA and she is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2023. I have set up this fund to help her with tuition and other college expenses. So many people loved my brother, Russ. Everyone saw him as their best friend. He was a one-of-a-kind Dad, Son, Brother and Friend! We loved him beyond measure! Thank you for your kindness in helping Kayla with her future college expenses!
